Are you one of those people who are not exactly looking forward family dinners this Holiday Season, cuz you’ve got one or two people on the list who are not easy to be around?

If so, today’s interview could seriously make things easier for you.

My guest is the delightful Sharon Smith, of www.APainPlan.com. Sharon’s work focuses on helping people get out of physical pain, but today she was thrilled to give us tools to manage the emotional distress that can come up during the Holidays.

I totally dig the way she describes EFT, saying our bodies are electrical systems, when we Tap, we clear the circuits out. She also says that fear, anger & grief can short-circuit those systems in a way other emotions don’t—which is why we need to be extra careful to experience them, & make sure they don’t get stuck!

She says that all this divisiveness we’re experiencing right now is a signal, not that people are all of a sudden different from one another, but that we’re feeling more disconnected than in the past. And if we focus on the ways we’re similar, we can overcome that feeling of disconnectedness, and the impulse to start fights with strangers on social media will let up.

It sounds like a no-brainer, right?? But it’s actually a super empowering way to look at this situation we’re in these days. I’m game to try it!! Who’s with me?

She also talks about how anger is a lot more socially acceptable than fear, and explains that anger can’t exist without fear underneath to support it. Do you find that to be true in your life? When you dig underneath your own anger, do you find fear? I can say I nearly always do.

She also leads a couple of really fantastic Tapping rounds, designed to calm the “I can’t even deal with these people!” energy.

Also,…did you love that last Tapping round of “I don’t know if I can make a difference in anybody’s life” as much as I did? That was like a Double-Plus Bonus right there!!

Now, I want to hear from you. Do you agree that anger is always accompanied by fear? Do you feel like all this work to get along is worth the effort, when sometimes we don’t feel like we can make a difference in anyone’s life?

And most of all, how are you going to bring humor to the table this year?

Leave a comment below and let us know. And remember, we learn as much from one another’s experiences as from the books we read, and the experts we each get the chance to talk to.

Thank you so much for joining this conversation. If you have friends, clients, or colleagues who would benefit from the information in this interview, please share this post. I appreciate your light, and love to see you sparkle!

With so much love,

~K
